Dr. Tope joined the 80th 0. V. I.,
of the Civil War and served as hospital
steward for two years, and then as
assistant-surgeon till the close of the war,
receiving his discharge August 31,
1865, at Little Rock, Ark.—-John H. (born
1841) is now in the lumber business
at Fishville, Mich.-—Catharine M. (born
1844) was married to Crayton McCoy,
a stock-dealer in Van Wert county, 0.
(b) Catharine Tope married a man by
the name of Palmer, in Franklin county, 0., and to them were born five
children: Martin, William, Cynthia Ann,
Mary Elizabeth and Margaret. Mr.
Palmer died in the Mexican War, and
Catharine, the widow, died in
Franklin county. We presume it was with this
daughter that "Granny" Tope lived
and died after leaving New Hagerstown.

Donaldson, daughter of William
Donaldson, and niece of the Rev.
John Donaldson, of Carroll county, 0., in
the year 1840. To them were born
twelve children: Wm. G., John H., Richard,
A., Lauretta and Nancy C.
Of these children, William G. (a
soldier in the first heavy artillery, Co. G)
married Julia Morgan, by whom they
had six children: Ebert C., Bertha, Hattie, Abert, Nelson and one that
died
in infancy. The mother died soon after,
leaving the five children. William
G. was married again to Miss Mollie Eackes,
and they have three children more:
Lillie, Walton and Clauda. Bertha, the
oldest daughter, married U. S.
Minor, and they have three children—two boys
and one girl. P. 0. address for them
is Glady, Gallia county, 0.-Elizabeth J.
married William H. Drummons. They
had eight children: George, Richard,
Robert, Cora, Dorha, Liza, Rossa and
one that died in infancy. George married Alice Smith, and they have
five
children-two boys and three girls. Kitchen, 0. Richard married Mattie
Hudson; they have three children-one boy
and two girls. Weston, 0. Robert
married Ella Philips; they have one child.
Northup, 0. Dorha married James
Hines; they have one child. Washington

married W. Cremmeens and they had nine
children: Alford W., Lee, Chester,
Ernel, Elizabeth, Anna, Ola, Clara and
Christy. Lincoln, 0. Elizabeth
married Henry W. Null, of Gallipolis, 0., and
they have two daughters. Alford W.
married Dora Minor, of Glady, 0., they
have one child. Ola married Van
Harbor and they have one child, living at
Kansas City—John H.
married Mary F. Huron; they have five children:
William H., Wilson G., Enos, Harry
and Emma. Post-office, Glady,

William H. White; had six children: Alice, Laura,
Mary K., John and Berchum, the other
two dying very young; the mother died
January 29, 1884. Alice married
James Friley, Gallipolis, 0., and they have
two sons. Laura married George
Carroll, of Bidwell, 0. They have two sons-
Margaret A. Married Jacob N. Carter,
of Glenray, 0., and had twelve
children: Cary, Lena, Frank, Truman,
Homer, Effie, Effel, Cora, and four
dead. Cary married John Perkins, of
Glenray, 0., and has one child—Richard
married Rebecca Ervin, to whom three
children were born: Richard E., Bert,
and Clen. The mother died, and he
was married again to Jane Philips and
another son has been added. Lanion,
O.—Alva T. married Josephine Bickle:
they had five children: David, Fred,
John and Perry and one dead. Alva T.
died December 9, 1890. His wife's P.
